The photos tell the story
Here are a few fun photos to show the wonderful events that have happened in our household. Alissa could not wait for her call to arrive! She was so excited to get it that she took the car to the post office...........sure the mailman had not left yet to deliver mail to his route..............................and she was right! This was one excited girl that came running into the house with her envelope and waited from 2pm till everyone arrived..friends, family and neghbors.
Below is a picture of all her friends who came to support her for the opening of her call. Several pictured already had their calls. What an exciting time to be 18 and 19 years old!
The day has arrived as well as the hour to finally be on our way to the MTC. How could something be so excitng and yet so sad? My response to Alissa was, "we do hard things because we love the Savior." And I love this daughter.
And the call was for ...............................................
the "Canada, Montreal Mission!!! French speaking!

Alissa entered the MTC yesterday! We did the drop off thing and thought it a little bit odd that an elder took her instead of a sister.
That wasn't what was so hard. It was the drive home and trying to see the freeway through my tears. No one could talk. It was sad to walk into the house and see a few of her things. We had a few more tears for a few more hours because we felt so empty. It was such a happy thing to send her off but just so hard to come home and move on. I have accomplished much more today than I did yesterday.

It's Official!
Alissa was set apart tonight. What a great experience that was. I was assigned to be her companion until she enters the MTC. That was fun. We are now currently "Sister Murdoch and Sister Murdoch!" And we get along so very well. And we are obeying every rule with exactness! We'll write more later.
